Introduction- Legal Awareness Series

 Hello

I am Mahesh Vaidya. I have been operating in legal areas in Information Technology Sector since 1991. I was with TATA Group from 1991 till my retirement from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in June 2021.

As Associate General Counsel -India, for TCS I was responsible for their India Geography Legal Work and was involved in drafting/negotiating & finalizing many major commercial contracts with various Banks, Financial Institutions, Central /State Government Departments, and PSUs as well as various major private business houses across all Industrial Sectors.

After my retirement, with a noble objective of helping upcoming new business entrepreneurs, I have been operating as a Legal Adviser involved in drafting/negotiating & finalizing commercial contracts and providing expert advice on contractual provisions to make the best possible use of the knowledge and experience that I have gained over the last 31 years.

In the process of Business Networking, I have interacted with a number of new upcoming business entrepreneurs and small-scale businesses and realized that the documentation prepared by them with their customers and vendors, while conducting business activities, is not sufficient to protect them from unknown business and commercial exposures and risk.

Based on the interactions with such upcoming and energetic new business entrepreneurs I am going to make an attempt to analyze their journey in business development & growth as well as analyze the documentation that they generally carry out. Further, I am also going to provide some general guidelines for their improvement to protect them from unknown business &commercial exposure.

I hope this sincere attempt will benefit the upcoming young energetic entrepreneurs.
